POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The RIT women's soccer team fell on the road to No. 16 Vassar, 3-0, in a Liberty League matchup, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With seven minutes remaining in the first half, RIT senior Lindsay Ford sent a header off a free kick to the upper left corner of the goal, but Vassar goalkeeper Laura Shea managed to make a leaping grab.
- The Brewers broke through in the 61st minute when Alice Crowley tapped the ball past senior goalkeeper Ashton Anderson.
- Vassar doubled their lead a minute later when Claire Vrahoretis scored with a header off a long pass from Ava Holman on the far left side.
- Crowley sealed the win for the Brewers, adding a third goal for the Brewers in the 73rd minute.
GAME NOTES
- Ford led the Tigers with two shots as the team finished with seven shots.
- In goal, Anderson recorded four saves.
- The result puts RIT's record at 4-3-2 overall and 2-1-0 in the conference.
