GENESEO, NY - The RIT softball team (15-17) dropped a pair of road non-conference games at SUNY Geneseo (22-14) on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers dropped a pitchers duel in game one, 1-0, and fell in game two, 9-1 in five innings.
In game one, Geneseo scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning, as two RIT errors led to the run.
Carlissa Cole (Alden, NY/Alden) pitched well, but took the loss, allowing just three hits and striking out two in six innings.
In game two, Cole scored RIT's lone run on a wild pitch.
RIT recorded just five hits in the doubleheader.
The TIgers return to action on Friday, as they travel to play Nazareth in a crucial Empire 8 doubleheader that gets underway at 3:30 p.m.
