ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT men's cross country team placed sixth out of 10 teams at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) Championship on Saturday, as they ran through Genesee Valley Park. The Tigers recorded 165 points. St. Lawrence University won the championship with a team score of 28 points.
This week's top runner was sophomore
Mike Bradley (Penfield, NY/Penfield) who finished the course in 27:16, securing him 19th place overall. Freshman
Adam Irr (Newfane, NY/Newfane) was the second Tiger to finish, completing the course in 27:50 and placing 36th. Fellow teammates
Cameron Gallivan (Buffalo, NY/Canisius),
Nathaniel Huff (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin), and
Jon Lueders (Chardon, OH/Chardon) finished out the scoring team. Gallivan and Huff, both freshmen, came in 42nd and 44th with the times 28:07 and 28:14, respectively. Lueders, a senior, finished in 47th place with a time of 28:22.
The men's team will be back in action next Saturday, October 31, where they will be competing in the Empire 8 Championship at Saratoga Springs State Park. The race begins at 11:45 a.m.
