ROCHESTER, NY
- The RIT Women's Hockey team posted their second win in as many days as they defeated Salve Regina, 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.

RIT(14-7-1, 13-4-0 ECAC East) got on the board first as Jessica Prudhomme (Lafayette, LA/Rochester Edge) (Lafayette, LA) scored at 4:23 of the first period on the powerplay. The assist went to freshman Isabelle Richard (Malarctic, PQ/National Sports Academy) (Malarctic, PQ).

Towards the end of the first period RIT took a 2-0 lead when Co-Captain Kasie Strong (Groton, MA/Assabet) (Groton, MA) pounded home the puck in front with the assist going to Richard.

Salve Regina cut the lead to 2-1 as Danielle Darisse scored at 2:49 of the second on a pass from Blythe Kirkpatrick and Meaghan Toland.

That would be as close as Salve Regina would get as RIT scored 4 unanswered goals to open up a 6-1 lead. Co-Captain Alysia Park (Dallas, TX/Aspen Avalanche)  (Dallas, TX) scored at the 9:13 mark of the second on a pass from Jackie Fraser (Fergus, ONT/Etobicoke Dolphins) (Fergus, ONT). Park returned the favor less than 30 seconds later as she and Prudhomme assisted on Fraser's 112th goal of the year.

Park went on to finish the day with two goals and two assists as she added a power play goal with 30 seconds left in the second period with the assists going to Kendra Bredlau (Pleasanton, CA/Anaheim Lady Ducks) (Pleasanton, CA) and Stacey McConnell (Millgrove, ONT/University of Findlay) (Millgrove, ONT) as well as tallying the lone assist on McConnell's powerplay goal at 5:43 of the 3rd period.

RIT finished 3-for-7 on the power-play, while the Seahawks went 0-for-5 with man advantage.  Nicki Werner (Quakertown, PA/Princeton Tiger Lillies) (Quakertown, PA) made 9 saves for RIT.  Kristin Suslowicz made 44 saves for Salve Regina (3-17-3).

RIT will be back in action Wednesday February 16th, when they host Utica College at 7p.m. at the Ritter Arena
