ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore Amulya Settyvari (WTEN) and senior Gavin Culley (MSOC) were named the RIT Athletes of the Week announced on September 15, 2026.
 
Settyvari and first year Sona Hanumali teamed up to win the "B" Flight doubles at the Mary Hosking Invitational. In their opening match, the duo defeated Anna Nigro and Lucy Hudson (William Smith), 8-4. They took down Julia Huff and Avery Greher (Ithaca), 8-5 in the semifinals and beat Teghan Torrey and Elizabeth Gardner (William Smith), 8-3 in the title match.
 
Culley scored the game-tying goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Clarkson. He headed in a cross from junior midfielder Robin Giesing in the 58th minute to tie the game 1-1. The senior forward leads the Tigers with two goals and four points.
 
Sept. 9 Kathryn Arbegast and Luca Strangis

 Arbegast finished first out of 108 runners to lead the Tigers to fourth place at the season-opening Tom Balon Alumni Classic, hosted by Brockport, Saturday. The senior crossed the finish line in 18:57.5, besting the field by nearly 50 seconds. 
 
Strangis finished fifth out of 152 runners to lead RIT to a fifth-place finish at Brockport's Tom Balon Alumni Classic on Saturday. Strangis completed the course in a time of 16:12.0.
