Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer downs Buffalo State, 2-1

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT sophomore midfielder Constantine Santacrose scored the game-winning goal in the Tigers 2-1 win over Buffalo State, Wednesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Senior forward Gavin Culley scored in the fifth minute to give RIT a 1-0 lead. His penalty kick was saved by Buffalo State keeper, Adrian Contreras. The rebound bounced to Culley and he scored into the open for his thrid goal of the season.
  • Buffalo State's Stephen Haven tied the game 1-1 on his goal in the 32nd minute.
  • Santacrose scored in the 50th minute. Senior midfielder Gabriel Zaninetti sent in a corner kick. Santacrose gathered the loose ball and scored into the right corner for his first goal of the season.
  • Zaninetti had a chance in the 84th minute turned away by Buffalo State keeper, Adrian Contreras.
 
GAME NOTES:
  • Buffalo State outshot RIT, 16-11.
  • The Tigers had six corner kick to nine for the Bengals.
  • Junior goalie Kristian Dobbek finished with three saves.
