Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer ties Fredonia, 1-1

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Gavin Culley scored in the Tigers 1-1 tie against Fredonia, Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Culley converted a penalty-kick in the 23rd minute to give RIT the lead. Junior forward Robin Giesing was taken down inside the Fredonia penalty box that gave RIT the penalty chance.
  • Junior goalie Kristian Dobbek made a save on a header from Ryan Ameis in the 49th minute to preserve RIT's lead.
  • Culley had a chance in the 60th minute saved by Fredonia keeper Joseph Roeper when senior forward Idriss Diallo sent a thru-ball to Culley.
  • Fredonia's Carson Teijeria converted a penalty kick in the 82nd minute to make it a 1-1 final.
 
GAME NOTES:
  • RIT outshot Fredonia, 13-10.
  • The Tigers had six corner kicks to seven for the Blue Devils.
  • Dobbek finished with five saves.
