BOSTON – The RIT Women's Volleyball team fell twice on the second day of the UMass-Boston Invitational, losing to the host Beacons, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-20) and Plattsburgh, 3-1 (25-20, 16-25, 25-17, 25-18).

- RIT led, 6-4, to start the first, but UMass-Boston responded with a 7-1 run for an 11-7 lead. Trailing, 16-12, the Tigers tied the match with four-straight points, 16-16. Later tied, 19-19, UMass-Boston reached set point with a 5-1 surge en route to taking the opener.
- The Beacons rode a 5-1 run to a 13-6 lead in the second. RIT bounced back with a 5-2 surge, including two kills by sophomore Anna Wasula, but UMass-Boston later used a 6-2 run to take a decisive 22-14 lead it would not relinquish.
- Trailing, 8-4, early in the third, RIT scored four of the next five points to pull back within one, 9-8. The Beacons would open a 16-11 lead, but the Tigers clawed back within two, 16-14, before tying the match, 19-19, with a 5-3 run. The Beacons scored six of the final seven points to close the win.

- RIT scored the first four points of the first set, but Plattsburgh answered with a seven-point run. RIT put together a 4-1 run for an 8-7 lead and later rode four-straight points to a 12-9 lead, but the Cardinals reclaimed a 14-13 edge following a 5-1 run. The Tigers scored the next two points for a brief 15-14 lead, but Plattsburgh scored a 7-2 run for a 21-17 lead that proved decisive.
- RIT led, 6-1, to start the second before Plattsburgh pulled back within two, 8-6, following a 5-2 run. The Cardinals later pulled within a point, 15-14, but the Tigers used an 8-1 run keyed by two Wasula service aces to forge a 23-15 lead it would not relinquish.
- Plattsburgh led, 10-7, to start the third before piecing together an 8-3 run for an 18-10 lead. RIT cut the deficit with a 4-2 surge, but the Cardinals scored five of the final eight points for a 2-1 overall lead.
- RIT led, 7-5, to start the fourth before Plattsburgh used a 9-1 run to build a 14-8 lead. The Tigers bounced back with a 7-2 surge, including three kills by Wasula, to pull back within one, 16-15. The Cardinals finished the match with a 9-3 run en route to the victory.
