ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The RIT women's track & field team finished fifth out of seven teams at Rochester's Alumni Invitational on Sunday.
The Tigers finished the day with 64 points while the hosts won the meet with 198.5 points as Brockport took second with 163.5 points.
On the track, senior
Micah Gordley ran an AARTFC qualifying time of 18:28.70 to finish third in the 5,000m.
In the throwing events, first-year
Nora Tighe won the hammer throw (43.45m) as sophomore Ben Keyser-Cochran won the javelin with a throw of 29.97m on their last attempt. Keyser-Cochran also placed third in the discus with a distance of 38.88m. In the shot put, first-year
Christella Leukeu took fourth (11.39m).
