NEW YORK – The RIT men's track & field relay teams led the Tigers on the first day of the AARTFC Indoor Championships at The Armory on Friday with a pair of second-place finishes.
 
The Tigers sit in third place through six scored events with 14 points behind Geneseo (29) and Rowan (28).
 
Saturday's events start at 10 a.m.
 
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

• The 4x400 Relay team set a program record and the 13th fastest time in Division III this season by finishing second overall with a time of 3:14.59.
• The Distance Medley Relay team also placed second with a combined time of 10:15.60.
• Distance runner Sebastian Montalvo led a trio of RIT runners in the 5,000m, crossing the finishing line in 15:08.69 to earn 10th place overall.
