ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team finished third out of eight teams at the 2026 Liberty League Indoor Track & Field Championships, Saturday
The tigers scored 138 points as RPI won the meet with 203 points. Rochester finished second with a total of 169 points.
SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- First-year sprinter Sawyer Schlitt set a program record to win the 60m with a time of 6.87 seconds.
- The 4x400 relay team set a facility record time of 3:20.45 to win the event. The previous facility record was set in 2020 by a team from Rochester that posted a time of 3:20.95.
- In the high jump, junior Erich Brown and first-year Cooper Bradley placed first and second, respectively, as both cleared 1.95m. Brown won the event by clearing the height on two attempts with Bradley needing three attempts.
- Sophomore John Elliot won the 800m with a time of 1.53.77.
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- First-year Naashon Calliens won the 60m Hurdles prelims with a time of 8.44 seconds while senior Eric Antonecchia also qualified for the finals after taking eight place (8.68).
- Jack DeFep, a junior, won the 400m (49.94) while sophomore John Elliot finished third (50.08) and senior Ryan Senf earned fourth (50.115).
- Senior thrower Dean Bartels came in third in the shot put with a throw of 14.34m, beating out sophomore Joshua Dolansky, who placed fourth (13.99m).
