COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The RIT men's track & field team finished the two-day AARTFC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in ninth place out of 64 teams, Thursday.
The Tigers scored 31 points as Rowan cruised to the team title with 108 points while Cortland took second with 58 points, followed by The College of New Jersey in third with 50 points.
THURSDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore Matthew Califf posted a sixth place finish in the 1,500m with a personal best time of 3:57.89.
- John Elliot, a sophomore, ran the 800m in 1:53.96 to place fifth overall.
- Davis finished the decathlon in fifth place with a personal best score of 5,980.
- The 4x800m Relay team closed out the meet with a second-place finish (7:47.42), coming a little more than a half second behind The College of New Jersey (7:46.84).
WEDNESDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- First-year Dominic Davis scored 3,204 through the first five events of the Decathlon.
- The 4x400m relay team posted a time of 3:14.73 to take fourth overall.
- Senior Erik Stephany also placed fourth in the hammer throw with a distance of 55.44.
