Jack DeFeo finished 15th in the 400m prelims with a time of 47.74 seconds at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Friday.
DeFeo took sixth place in the first heat, which saw the top two finishers advance to Saturday's finals.
The junior posted the 14th fastest time in Division III in the 400m with a time of 47.14 at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships, which was a meet and program record.
DeFeo is the first men's athlete to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships since the 2023 season when thrower Matthew Funicelli competed in shot put and hammer throw.
