BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The RIT women's track & field team opened its indoor season Saturday at the Brockport Saturday Night Rust Buster Invitational.
Senior
Rachel Kulp led the Tigers in the sprints, qualifying first in the 60-meter dash prelims (7.84) and finishing third in the 200 meters (26.56). Junior
Eva Reilly placed fifth in the 3000 meters (11:03.98), while senior
Jade Kimmel and first-year Corina Zheng finished 10th and 12th, respectively.
Senior
Samantha Crisci earned second in the 500 meters (1:22.15). The 4x400-meter relay team finished third overall (4:22.09).
In the field events, Kulp placed third in the long jump (5.39m), and senior
Rania Sabri finished second in the triple jump (10.77m). First-year Christella Leukeu won the shot put (12.29m), while first-year Nora Tighe placed seventh in the weight throw (13.79m).
