ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Four RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with weekly honors announced by the league, Monday.
Junior
Gwen Petrie was named the Women's Diver of the Week. On the men's side, junior
Luke Albanese was named the Men's Diver of the Week, sophomore
Lucas Peterson was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week and first year
Griffin Tomsheck was the Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week.
Petrie took first place in both diving events in RIT's dual meet loss at Hamilton, Saturday. The junior scored 251.80 in the 3m event and 251.60 at the 1m height.
Albanese earned first place at both heights for RIT in a 163-125 dual meet win at Hamilton, Saturday. The junior scored 358.60 points at the 3m platform and 311.50 points in the 1m event.
Peterson won the 1000 Free (10:00.36) and 500 Free (4:54.28) to help RIT defeat Hamilton, 163-125, in a dual meet, Saturday.
Tomsheck helped the Tigers top Hamilton, 163-125, Saturday with first-place results in the 100 Breast (59.26) and 200 Breast (2:11.33). The newcomer also placed third in the 200 Medley Relay, swimming the breaststroke leg with a time of 26.45.
