ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's track & field team opened the indoor season at the Nazareth Alumni Opener at the Golisano Training Center, Friday.
On the track, senior
Rachel Kulp highlighted the sprints with a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash (7.93) after qualifying third in prelims (7.90). Freshman Hannah Mandell placed 10th in the 300 meters (46.55), while senior
Samantha Crisci ran 1:01.21 for seventh in the 400 meters. Sophomore
Jorja DeCarlo added a runner-up finish in the 500 meters (1:24.42).
In the distance events, sophomore
Sophia DiGennero led the Tigers in the 1000 meters with a fourth-place finish (3:10.37), and junior
Eva Reilly took third in the mile (5:34.38).
In the field events, senior
Rania Sabri finished fourth in the triple jump (10.70m) as first-year Christella Leukeu led the throwers with a sixth-place shot put mark of 11.81m and seventh in the weight throw (14.23m).
