ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT Men's Hockey team earned a 3-1 victory over visiting Canisius, Friday, in Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) action.
Goals by senior forward
Austin Brimmer in the second period and first-year forward
Caleb Elfering in the third yielded a 2-0 Tiger lead. The Golden Griffins cut the lead in half with under eight minutes remaining in regulation, but an empty-net goal by senior forward
Simon Isabelle sealed the win to break a four-game slide.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Christian Catalano fought a puck out of the right corner and skated around the right faceoff circle toward a crowded crease to slip a pass to Elfering for a short finish inside the left post.
Canisius answered 49 seconds later after Olver Tarr redirected a shot form the point inside the right post, but Isabelle put the game out of reach after batting a puck in the neutral zone back into an empty-net with 55.6 seconds on the clock.
