ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's cross country team placed sixth out of 23 teams at the 2025 NCAA Division III Niagara Region Cross Country Championships at Genesee Valley Park, Saturday. The Tigers totaled 187 points, led by junior
Kathryn Arbegast's third-place finish.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arbegast crossed the line in 21:47.2, trailing right behind second-place finisher Janie Cooper from NYU (21:46.0).
- Junior Therese Georgia was second for the Tigers, finishing 14th with a time of 22:19.7.
- First-year Juliana Cavanaugh placed 51st in 23:36.8 with junior Rachael Ladd finishing 52nd in 23:37.3.
- Junior Eva Reilly rounded out the scoring five in 67th place with a time of 24:08.3.
- Senior Abby Thomas (82nd, 24:35.6) and senior Abby Nautel (90th, 24:56.4) also competed for the Tigers.
- The top three teams were NYU (52 points), Geneseo (64 points), and Ithaca (166 points).

RIT will await potential selections for the NCAA Division III National Championships, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22.
