Women’s Cross Country finishes fifth at Liberty League Championships

CANTON, N.Y. - The RIT women's cross country team placed fifth out of nine teams at the 2025 Liberty League Championships, Saturday. Junior Kathryn Arbegast led the Tigers with a third-place individual finish out of 101 runners.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Arbegast crossed the finish line with a time of 22:20.0 as classmate Therese Georgia placed eighth in 22:55.7.
  • Juniors Rachael Ladd and Eva Reilly came in 29th (24:19.4) and 31st (24:24.8), respectively.
  • First-year Juliana Cavanaugh rounded out the scoring in 33rd place with a time of 24:39.0.
  • RIT scored 104 points to finish fifth. The top three teams were Vassar (36 points), St. Lawrence (69 points), and RPI (75 points).
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The Tigers are set to host the NCAA Division III Niagara Region Championships on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Genesee Valley Park.
