ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The RIT Women's Volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-14) sweep at Liberty Leauge-rival Bard, Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- RIT started the first set with a 7-4 lead before Bard tied the score, 10-10, with a 6-3 run. The Tigers scored three of the next four points for a 15-12 edge, but Bard responded with a 6-1 surge for an 18-16 lead. RIT scored five of the next six points, including four kills by Gerber, to retake a 22-19 edge that proved insurmountable.
- RIT scored five-straight points for an early 6-2 lead in the second and later put together a 4-1 run to lead, 15-7. The Tigers finished the set on an 8-3 run to build a 2-0 lead.
- RIT scored the first five points of the third set en route to a 10-3 lead. RIT later rode a 9-1 run to a decisive 22-8 lead to put the match out of reach.
WHAT'S NEXT
RIT returns home to host a two-day tri-match, starting with a Liberty League match with Clarkson on Friday (Oct. 17) at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday (Oct. 18), Clarkson will take on Rochester at 11:00 a.m. before the Tigers face Rochester at 1:00 p.m.
