CANTON, N.Y. – The RIT Women's Track & Field team finished third out of eight teams at the 2024 Liberty League Indoor Championships at St. Lawrence's Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex, Saturday.

• Junior Emily DiMarco won the shot put competition (40' 8.25"/12.40m) after entering the meet ranked fifth. She is also placed fifth in the weight throw (45' 3"/13.79m). 
• Sophomore Sadie Rose won the 200 (25.23) and finished second in the 400 (58.20).
• Senior Catherine Fox finished second in the pole vault (11' 4.5"/3.47m).
• Senior Katie Cobos finished second in the 5,000 (18:11.01) and eighth in the 3,000 (10:25.80).
• Junior Allison Regnante finished second in the long jump (17' 4.75"/5.30m) and third in the 60 hurdles (9.23).
• Junior Caroline Hill finished third in the 200 (26.16) and eighth in 60 (8.14).
• Rose and Hill teamed with sophomores Samantha Crisci and Abby Nautel to win the 4x400 relay (4:03.67).
• Sophomore Rania Sabri (34' 11:/10.64m) and senior Violet Ameele (34' 6.25"/10.52m) finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in the triple jump.
• Senior Amelia Gilbert placed seventh in the 3,000 (10:25.80).

Rochester won the meet with 173 points followed by Ithaca (154.5), RIT (105), Vassar (77) and RPI (57) in the top-five. The Tigers improved three places over last year's sixth-place finish.

RIT will compete at the Atlantic Region Indoor Championships next Friday and Saturday (Mar. 1-2), hosted by Nazareth.
