ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT sophomore defender Emma Pickering was named the Atlantic Hockey America Women's Hockey Defenseman of the Week honors, announced Monday (Oct. 21).

Pickering tallied a career-high two goals in RIT's 3-3 tie against RPI, Thursday, firing three shots on goal and blocking two shots. She tallied a power play goal in the first period to give the Tigers a 1-0 led and a second power-play tally in the third to extend RIT's lead to 3-1. Pickering had two shots on target and a block in the Tigers 2-0 win, Friday.

RIT returns to action on Friday (Oct. 26) against No. 7 St. Lawrence at 3:00 p.m.
