ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT women's hockey team hosts Mercyhurst for a pair of College Hockey America games this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 3-4).
 
Weekend Recap (RIT vs Lindenwood)
Sophomore forward Jaidan Fahrny recorded a career-high two goals and three points to lead RIT to a 6-2 win, Saturday. Junior forward Kylie Aquaro had a goal and three assists while first year forward Addie Alvarez had three assists. Junior defensewoman Addie Carr had a goal and an assist and sophomore goalie Sophia Bellina made 30 saves in net to earn the win.
 
Aquaro and junior defensewoman Kyla Bear each had two assists and senior forward Nicole Ness had a goal and an assist in the Tigers' 6-3 loss, Friday. Fahrny and junior forward Megan McCormick each scored and junior goalie Sarah Coe made 31 saves.
 
About RIT
RIT leads the CHA allowing 2.27 goals per game, 186 blocked shots, averaging a league-best 16.91 per game. The Tigers are third killing off 32-of-40 (80%) penalties and winning 51.3 percent of their face offs and fourth averaging 2.45 goals per game.
 
Aquaro leads the team and is tied for seventh in the CHA with nine points. The junior forward is second in the league with seven assists and tied for first in +/- (+6). Fahrny is second on the team and tied for ninth with eight points. She is sixth in the CHA with six goals and tied for first with two game-winning goals. Ness and Alvarez are tied for third on the team with five points, while Ness is tied for seventh in the league with four goals.
 
Senior captain Lindsay Maloney is fourth in the league winning 107 face offs and is seventh winning 50.2 percent of her draws. First-year Emma Pickering is tied for first in the CHA with 26 blocked shots while senior defensewoman Mia Tsilemos is third with 23. Bear is fourth (22) and McCormick is tied for fifth (21). Junior defensewoman Bailey Kehl is tied for first in the CHA with a +6.
 
Coe leads the CHA with a 2.58 goals against average and a .923 save percentage and is fourth averaging 28.11 saves per game.

About Mercyhurst
Mercyhurst spit a pair of games against Robert Morris last weekend, winning 9-2 on Friday and losing 3-2 the following day.
 
Sara Boucher recorded the hat trick, while Sydney Pedersen had four assists in Friday's win. Marielle Parks and Chantal Ste-Croix each scored two goals and Sofia Ljung and Mary Sweetapple each had two assists. Ena Nystrom made 22 saves to earn the win in goal. Ljung and Kylee Mahoney each scored and Nystrom made 22 saves in Saturday's loss.
 
Mercyhurst is third in the CHA averaging 2.58 goals per game, and third allowing 2.92 goals er contest. The Lakers are third converting 4-of-32 power plays, second killing off 40-of-48 penalties and first averaging 7.0 points per game.
 
Boucher leads Mercyhurst and is second in the CHA with 12 points. She is third in the league with six goals and tied for third with six assists. Pedersen is second in the league with 11 points, including a league-best 10 assists, while Thea Johansson is tied for fifth with 10 points, while Johansson is tied for second in the league with six goals.
 
Nystrom is third in the CHA with a 2.75 goals against average, second with a .914 save percentage, averaging 28.33 saves per game.
 
RIT vs. Mercyhurst
Mercyhurst is 40-6-1 all time against RIT, including a 3-0-1 record last season. Junior forward Jordyn Bear tied the game on her goal in the third period, while Coe made 38 saves in a 1-1 draw last February. The Tigers last win was a 1-0 victory on January 6, 2021.
 
Senior forward Emma Roland has three goals and an assist against Mercyhurst, while senior captain Lindsay Maloney (2g, 1a) and junior forward Kylie Aquaro (3a) each have three points. Senior defensewoman Mia Tsilemos and juniors Kyla Bear and Athena Vasdani each have two points.
