ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Three RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with Player of the Week recognition, announced Monday, January 9.
Junior swimmer
Mike Atanasoff was named Men's Swimmer of the Week, while junior diver
Neko Ferrara earned Men's Diver of the Week accolades.
On the women's side, first-year swimmer
Lorelei Robinson was named Women's Rookie of the Week.
Atanasoff won a pair of individual events and swam a leg in the winning 200 medley relay to lead No. 18 RIT to a 214-69 win over Hamilton, Saturday. He won the 50 Free (20.81) and the 100 Butterfly (50.42) and swam the third leg in the winning 200 medley relay.
Ferrara won both diving competitions to help No. 18 RIT to a 214-69 win over Hamilton, Saturday. The junior diver won the 3-meter competition with a score of 307.05 and won the 1-meter competition with a score of 280.30.
Robinson placed second in the 1,000 Freestyle (11:06.70) and finished third in the 500 freestyle (5:24.22) against Hamilton, Saturday.
