Trio lands CoSIDA Academic All-District Cross Country/Track & Field

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT graduate student Nick John, senior Ann Byerley and junior Tyler Hulse were recently voted to the 2021-22 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
 
John compiled a 3.84 undergraduate GPA along with a 3.92 graduate GPA studying applied & computational mathematics. He also qualified for the 2022 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the pole vault, placing 11th at both meets.

Byerley compiled a 3.97 GPA double majoring in biomedical engineering and biomedical sciences. She also finished 35th at the 2021 Niagara Region Cross Country Championships to land all-region recognition last fall.

Hulse owns a 3.75 grade points average majoring in visual media. He finished an All-American seventh in the high jump at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships and also won the event at both the Liberty League Indoor and Outdoor Championships this past spring.
 
The trio advances to the national ballot and will be eligible for Academic All-America honors, to be announced later this month.
