Men’s Crew varsity eight sweep 1,000-meter runs against USCGA

CLEMSON, S.C. – The RIT men's crew teams kicked off spring rowing against the United States Coast Guard Academy, Friday.

The RIT men's varsity eight had winning times of 3:10.0, 3:08.6 and 3:09.2 in a best-of-three 1,000-meter piece runs.

The RIT men's varsity eight boat included Ben Clements, Alex Carey, Tommy Moore, Dan Shaw, Matthew Lindstedt, Keenan Gildea, Andrew Cuomo, Gage Blackwell and Jake Michalski.

The RIT men's novice eights finished behind the USCGA's varsity eights with times of 3:27.2, 3:28.0 and 3:25.6.

The RIT men's novice eight boat consisted of Jason Klugman, Nicolas Langdon, Jack Weitekamp, Jacob O'Connor, Alex Nenadic, Brady Grow, Oliver Vinneras, Michael DeFranco and Jacob Marrer.

Men's Crew begins Liberty League action on Saturday, April 2 at 9 a.m. against the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park.
