ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team finished first out of six teams at the RIT Invitational #1, Friday afternoon, at Gordon Field House.

• Senior Matthew Funicelli swept the shot put (15.43m) and the weight throw (16.77m) with a pair of Atlantic Region Championship qualifying marks.
• Junior Tyler Hulse hit an Atlantic Region Championship qualifier in winning the high jump (2.00m). 
• Freshman Ben Sheehan also logged an Atlantic Region qualifying mark in winning the long jump (6.72m). 
• RIT totaled 283.5 points to out-distance runner-up Roberts Wesleyan (152.5) and third-place Fredonia (51.5) in the six-team field.

RIT will next compete at the Brockport Invitational next Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4-5.
