Placed 10th in both the discus and hammer finals at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships
Competed at both the Atlantic Region Indoor and Outdoor Championships

PERSONAL:

Son of Beth Toly-Hughes and Roal Hughes, both RIT graduates.
Started competing in the field events in his senior year of high school. He had stopped swimming to try out indoor track, but suffered a hip injury. Instead, he gave the throwing events a try and fell in love with it. By the end of his first year, he was just a few inches away from qualifying for states in discus.
Favorite athlete: Throwing events competitor Sean Donnelly, who even coached Aidan individually for a few months prior to arriving at RIT.
