HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The RIT men's track & field team competed at the Houghton Highlander Invitational, Saturday, at the Kerr-Pegula Field House

• Senior Matthew Funicelli won the weight throw with a PR 16.58m/54' 4.75" while also winning the shot put (15.05m/49' 4.5")
• Senior Nick John won the pole vault (4.40m/14 5.25"), leading five Tigers who placed in the top-seven.
• Junior Tyler Hulse finished runner-up in the high jump (1.94m/6' 4.25")
• Freshman Matthew Chaikowsky finished second in the 800 with a PR 2:00.36. 
• Matthew Skakal ran to second in the 400 (52.00) and seventh in the 200 (23.58)

The team is scheduled to host the RIT Friday Meet #1 this coming Friday (Jan. 28), starting at 4:00 p.m. at Gordon Field House.
