CLINTON, NY -- The RIT (56-1) men's swimming and diving team won its sixth straight dual meet with a 203-77 win over Hamilton College Saturday afternoon from Bristol Pool on the campus of Hamilton College.
RIT began the meet with a win in the 200-yd. medley relay. The team of
Derek Rothrock (Ashburn, VA/Briar Woods),
Brendan Kapp (Springfield, VA/Trinity School),
Cameron Marcus (Jericho, VT/Mount Mansfield) and
Will Brown (Boulder, CO/Fairview) won in a time of 1:38.07.
Freshman
Aidan Daudier (Milford, NH/Bishop Guertin) won three individual events. He swept the 100-yd. (55.14 seconds) and 200-yd. (2:02.93) backstroke, and was a winner in the 400-yd. IM (4:24.36). Cameron Ling won. the 50-yd. freestyle (22.00 seconds), and placed second in the. 100-yd. freestyle (50.43. seconds).
Other winners included
Theo Heilman (Norridge, IL/IMSA) in the 1,000-yd. freestyle (10:17.41).
Mark Truskinovsky (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) won the 200-yd. freestyle (1:49.94, Kapp in the 200-yd. breaststroke (2:11.05), Brown in the 100-yd. freestyle (49.58 seconds) and Marcus in the 100-yd. butterfly (53.16 seconds).
RIT capped off the win with a win in the 200-yd. freestyle relay. The team of Ling,
Colin Allen (Bedford, NH/Bedford), Moss and Brown came home first in a time of 1:29.95.
The Tigers returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 18, against the University of Rochester. at 1 p.m. from Judson Pool.
