OSWEGO, NY -- The RIT (2-1) men's swimming and diving team won its second straight dual meet with a 157-82 win at SUNY Oswego Wednesday evening.
Aidan Daudier (Milford, NH/Bishop Guertin),
Michael Burke (Ambler,PA/Upper Dublin) and
Robert Gagnon (Voorhees, NJ/Voorhees) were each multiple winners. Daudier was a winner in the 200-yard IM, touching first in a time of 2:01.76. He won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of :55.29 seconds. Gagnon was a winner in each of the distance events. He began the meet with a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:32.20), and capped off the night with a win in the 500-yard freestyle (5:02.72).
Burke won the 3-meter and 1-meter diving competitions. He won the 3-meter competition with a score of 283.75, and was a winner on the 1-meter board with a score of 322.70.
Other winners included
Mark Truskinovsky (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.27), Cameron Ling in the 100-yard freestyle (:49.95 seconds) and
Brendan Kapp (Springfield, VA/Trinity School) in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.47).
In relay action, the team of
Derek Rothrock (Ashburn, VA/Briar Woods), Kapp,
Cameron Marcus (Jericho, VT/Mount Mansfield) and
Will Brown (Boulder, CO/Fairview) led off the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, winning in a time of 1:40.18.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 26, against Clarkson University at 1 p.m. from Judson Pool.
