ROCHESTER, NY -- Freshman Kendall Jones (Palmyra, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) of the RIT women's lacrosse team was named Liberty League Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week on Monday, for the week ending March 11, 2018. It is the first weekly for Jones in her collegiate career.

Jones played in her first two collegiate games, helping RIT to a 1-1 record last week. She tallied six points and five goals, while grabbing four ground balls and causing three turnovers. Jones tallied two goals, four ground balls and caused a turnovers in her collegiate debut, a loss at SUNY Oswego. Sunday, Jones tallied three goals and four points in a 16-13 win over Ramapo College.

RIT, 1-1 on the season, will play Bowdoin College on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Englewood, Florida. The Tigers wrap up the Florida trip on Wednesday when the Tigers play Wheaton College.
