RIT is tied for sixth in the Liberty League averaging 12.13 goals per game and is fourth allowing 9.72 goals per contest. The Tigers are third in the conference averaging 14.19 draw controls per game, eighth averaging 16.50 ground balls per game and ninth causing 9.25 turnovers per contest.
Heffernan leads the team with 49 points on 39 goals and 10 assists. Senior
Grace Validzic is second on the team with 36 points (28g, 8a) and Jones is third with 33 points (30g, 2a). Senior
Jenna Bovenzi is fourth on the team with 29 points and leads the Tigers with 17 assists.
Stephen leads RIT and is fourth in the Liberty League with 90 draw controls and third in the league averaging 5.63 draws per game. Jones is second on the team and eighth in the conference with 53 draw controls, averaging 3.53 draw controls per game. Sophomore
Jocelyn Lee leads the team with 26 caused turnovers. Jones is second on the team with 14 caused turnovers and Validzic and Heffernan are tied for third with 12 CT's.
Ruddy is 9-6 this season. She is fifth in the Liberty League with a 10.21 goals-against average and sixth with a .432 save percentage.
About Union:
Union finished the regular season with an 11-5 record and went 9-1 in Liberty League play to earn the No. 2 seed. Junior Gillian Joseph scored five goals, and six points and senior Christina Guanci tallied three goals and two assists in the Garnett Chargers 14-11 win over Rochester, Saturday. Junior Maddy Schiller scored two goals and added an assist and senior Sydney Widlitz made 10 saves in net for Union.
Union is fifth in the Liberty League averaging 12.69 goals per game and third allowing 9.34 goals per contest. The Garnett Chargers lead the league averaging 20.81 ground balls per game, fifth winning 13.50 draw controls per game and seventh causing 10.25 turnovers per contest.
Joseph leads Union and is seventh in the league with 62 points. She is third in the league with 47 goals averaging 2.94 goals per game. Schiller is second on the team with 56 points (44g, 12a) and Guanci is third with 48 points (30g, 18a). Senior Lana Mickelson is fourth with 39 points and leads the team with 22 assists.
Junior Anna Dembowski leads the team and is tied for sixth in the Liberty League with 27 caused turnovers and leads the league with 48 ground balls. Sophomore Kate Loughney is second on the team with 19 caused turnovers. Junior Hannah Compa leads the Garnett Chargers and is second in the Liberty League with 105 draw controls. Widlitz is 11-5 this season. She is third in the league with a 9.81 goals-against average and fifth with a .445 save percentage.
The winner of Tuesday's first round game advances to the semifinals and will play the winner between No. 3 Ithaca and No. 6 Clarkson on Friday (May 1) at the highest seed.
