ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (5-0, 2-0 Liberty League) women's swimming and diving team defeated St. Lawrence University (2-1), 152-91 in Liberty League action from Judson Pool Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Tigers improve to 5-0 on the season, and have won 14 straight dual meets dating back to last season.
The Tigers opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of
Alicia Shenal (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta),
Amy Adams (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy),
Olivia Phillips (Louisville, CO/Fairview) and
Daylen Smith (Lockwood, NY/Waverly) won the event in a time of 1:53.21.
Sedera Zbranak (Austin, TX/Lake Travis) was one of three Tigers to win multiple individual events Saturday. She won the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.68) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.29).
Phoebe Huey (Fort Collins, CO/Fossil Ridge) was a winner in the 50-yard freestyle (25.21) and the 100-yard freestyle (55.19).
Mililani Rosare (Campbell, CA/Westmont) won the 200-yard IM (2:15.56) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.71).
Amy Adams (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) picked up a win in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.44.
In diving action,
Anna Johnson (Knoxville, TN/Farragut) was second in the 1-meter competition with a score of 182.00, while
Jessica Kaups (Shaker Heights, OH/Shaker Heights) was third with a score of 180.00. Kaups placed second in the 3-meter competition with a score of 185.25.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 10 at LeMoyne College at 1 p.m. in Syracuse, N.Y.
