Biography

Career: Finished her career holding the individual school records in eight individual events; both the 100 (51.38), 200-yard (151.33) freestyle and 1,650-yard (17:51.32) freestyle; 50- (26.01), 100- (55.38) and 200-yard (2:02.31) backstroke as well as the 50- (26.53) and 100-yard (55.47) butterfly … also part of five record-setting relay teams 200- (1:36.09), 400- (3:31.16) and 800-yard (7:48.16) freestyle relays, 200- (1:44.41) and 400-yard 3:51.61) medley relay
 
2018-19: Earned All-American honors, finishing second in the 100-yard backstroke at the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships … finished 12th in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championships to earn Honorable Mention All-American honors  … RIT Co-Senior Female Athlete of the Year ... earned All-Liberty League First Team honors in 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard Freestyle … earned Second Team All-Liberty League accolades in the 200-yard backstroke … part of record-setting 200-yard Freestyle Relay team to earn All-Liberty League First Team honors … part of record-setting 400-yard Freestyle Relay Team to earn All-Liberty League First Team accolades … part of record-setting 200-yard medley relay to earn All-Liberty League First Team honors … was part of record-setting 400-yard medley relay team to earn All-Liberty League Second Team accolades … earned RIT Female Athlete of the Week honors on October 15, December 3 and March 25 … led RIT with 387 points … had the team’s top time in eight different events … recorded 36 top-two finishes, including 31 wins … five-time Liberty League Swimmer of the Week selection … earned Liberty League All-Academic Team honors for maintaining at least a 3.30 grade-point average

2017-18: Served as one of RIT’s three captains … enjoyed another record-breaking season … Represented RIT at the 2018 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in the 100-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke for the second consecutive season … won 26 individual races … won three individual Liberty League Championships, all in league record times at the conference championships … won the 200-yard freestyle in a Liberty League meet record time of 1:52.51, while winning the 100-yard backstroke in a school record time of 56.50 seconds … shattered her own school mark and took the 200-yard backstroke, breaking her own school mark in 2:02.31 … part of the school-record breaking 400-yard medley relay team that was second and 400-yard freestyle relay that was third … placed 21st nationally in the 200-yard backstroke, 26th in the 100-yard backstroke and 27th in the 100-yard butterfly … was named RIT Female Athlete of the Week three times, Nov. 13, Jan. 22 and Feb. 26 … named Liberty League Swimmer of the Week twice, Oct. 23 and Jan. 29 …  earned Liberty League All-Academic Team honors for maintaining a 3.30 grade-point average.

2016-17: Competed in several short and middle distance events … represented RIT at the 2017 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke … broke three individual school marks and was part of four record-setting relay teams at the 2017 UNYSCSA Championships … became RIT's first swimmer to win an individual event at the state meet since 2010, becoming the state champion in 200-yard freestyle with a school-record time of 1:51.62 … added runner-up finishes in the 100-yard backstroke with another program record, of 56.97 second, in addition to the 200-backstroke (2:03.35) … was a part of four new school records in relays set at the UNYSCSA Championships, in the 400-freestyle relay (3:34.11), 200-yard medley relay (1:45.76), 800-yard freestyle relay (7:48.16) and 400-yard medley relay (3:54.78) … had 12 wins and six second place efforts … named the RIT Female Athlete of the Week twice, Jan. 23 and Feb. 20 … named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.

2015-16: Competed in several short, middle and long distance events before suffering a season-ending injury … named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Oct. 18 and 25 … had five victories and finished in the top-10 in all 11 events … earned All-Liberty League second team honors in the 100-yard (58.63) and 200-yard backstroke (2:08.78).

Before RIT: Swam at Lake Travis High School ... was a senior captain ... made it to the Texas 6A Division State Championships ... earned all-state honors senior year. 

Personal: Media arts and technology/new media marketing double major ... daughter of Richard Zbranak and Diane Welsh ... has one sibling, Jacquelyn.
