ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT women's hockey team makes the quick trip east to take on College Hockey America rival Syracuse University at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16.

The Tigers (2-6-4, 0-2-0 CHA) enter Friday looking for their first three-game unbeaten streak since Jan. 22-Feb. 9, 2017. Last weekend, RIT earned a win and tie at Dartmouth College of the ECAC, winning 5-1 Friday, while skating to a 2-2 draw Saturday. On Friday, five different Tigers scored goals, while Terra Lanteigne (Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia/Charles P. Allen) made 41 saves in the win. Saturday, Mallory Rushton (Amherst, Nova Scotia/New Hampton Prep) and Brooke Baker (Saline, MI/Saline) scored goals, while Lanteigne stopped a season-high 48 shots. Brittney Gout (Caledon, Ontario/Brampton Canadettes) recorded four points over the weekend.

Senior Kendall Cornine (Kinnelon, NJ/Morristown Beard) and Gout lead the team in scoring with nine points apiece. Cornine has a team-best seven goals, while Gout leads RIT with seven assists. Lanteigne leads all of Division I with 390 saves and is tenth with a .942 save percentage. She also leads all CHA goaltenders with a 1.97 goals against average, while playing in all 12 games.

Gout was named the CHA Player of the Week, while Lanteigne was named Goaltender of the Week on Monday. It is Lanteigne's third weekly honor of the 2018-19 season.

Syracuse enters Friday's contest with a 4-7-1 overall record and is 4-2-0 in league play. The Orange were last in action over the weekend at Princeton University, recording a 1-1 tie Saturday, while losing 5-3 on Sunday. Brooke Avery, Lauren Bellefontaine and Allie Munroe lead a balanced scoring attack with nine points apiece. Seven different Orange players have at least seven points. Maddi Welch is 3-4-1 in net with a 2.85 goals against average and an .874 save percentage.

Syracuse leads the all-time series between the two schools, 19-7-2. The two teams will also meet on Jan. 11, 2019 from the Gene Polisseni Center and play a home-and-home series on Feb. 15-16.

Both games will be streamed online by Stretch Internet (paid service) and will feature live stats.
