SYRACUSE, NY -- The RIT (6-0) women's swimming and diving team defeated LeMoyne College 181-113 Saturday afternoon. The Tigers are 6-0 on the season and have won 15 straight dual meets dating back to the start of 2017-18.
RIT won the opening relay as the team of
Alicia Shenal (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta),
Amy Adams (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy),
Olivia Phillips (Louisville, CO/Fairview) and
Phoebe Huey (Fort Collins, CO/Fossil Ridge) won the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:53.94. The Tigers sealed the win with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of
Sedera Zbranak (Austin, TX/Lake Travis),
Eleanor O'Gorman (Yarmouth, ME/Yarmouth) and Huey won the event in a time of 1:41.30. The team of
Lauryn Mattoon (Genoa, NY/Southern Cayuga),
Margo McBrearty (Oswego, NY/Oswego),
Addy Maykish (Caldwell, NJ/Caldwell) and Phillips placed third in a time of 1:49.52.
O'Gorman was a winner in the 1,000-yard freestyle, winning in a time of 11:20.70. Zbranak took home first place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.31), was a winner in the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.20), and won her third event of the day, taking home first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.52).
RIT swept the top two spots in the 100-yard backstroke.
Mililani Rosare (Campbell, CA/Westmont) won the event (59.36), while Shenal placed second (1:03.29). Rosare also won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:14.32. Adams was a winner in the 100-yard breaststroke, winning the event in a time of 1:08.21. She was also a winner in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.94). Huey was a winner in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in a time of 55.30.
The Tigers swept the top-three places in the 1-meter diving competition.
Anna Johnson (Knoxville, TN/Farragut) won the event (163.15),
Anastasia Ueda (Lafayette, CA/Miramonte) was second (132.05) and
Megan Smith (Monroe, CT/Masuk) was third (124.90). RIT swept the top three in the 3-meter competition. Johnson won the event (202.6), Ueda was second (161.60) and Smith was third (160.85).
RIT returns to action on Friday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 when the Tigers host the Don Richards Invitational at Judson Pool.
