ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT women's hockey team heads out on the road for a pair of non-league contests at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute this weekend. Both Friday and Saturday's games from the Houston Field House begin at 3 p.m.

RIT enters the weekend series with a 1-3-2 overall record. Last weekend, the Tigers played to a 1-1 draw and lost to Union, 3-2 at the Gene Polisseni Center as part of Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend. Kendall Cornine (Kinnelon, NJ/Morristown Beard) scored for the Tigers Friday night, while Terra Lanteigne (Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia/Charles P. Allen) made 29 saves. Saturday, Hunter Barnett (Caledon, Ontario/Mississauga Jr. Chiefs) scored her first two collegiate goals, while Lanteigne stopped 25 shots in the 3-2 loss.

Cornine leads the Tigers in scoring with five goals and seven points in six games this season. Brittney Gout (Caledon, Ontario/Brampton Canadettes), Ellie Larson (Hutchinson, MN/Hutchinson Tigers) and Mallory Rushton (Amherst, Nova Scotia/New Hampton Prep) have four points apiece. Lanteigne has played all six games in net and has a 2.13 goals against average and a .929 save percentage. She was named the College Hockey America Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season on Oct. 22

RPI comes into the weekend with a 1-3-1 record. The Engineers were off last weekend, but played on Oct. 12-13 at Robert Morris, winning 1-0 and losing 3-1. Blake Orosz and Josefine Hansen are tied for the team lead with three points apiece. In goal, Lovisa Sealander has played in all five games and has a 1.39 goals against average and a .962 save percentage.

RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 15-12-4. Rensselaer won both meetings last season at the Gene Polisseni Center by scores of 3-1 and 4-1. Cornine scored both RIT goals in the two games last year and has six points in six career games against the Engineers.

Both RIT and RPI are multi-divisional programs, whose Division III teams play in the Liberty League.

Video and live stats will available for both games.
