ROCHESTER, NY -- The Hillside Family of Agencies along with Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield have once again teamed up with RIT and the University of Rochester men's soccer teams to put on the fifth annual
Hillside Community Shield, a fundraiser aimed at supporting the youth and families served by Hillside through the game of soccer. This year's game will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at Fauver Stadium on the campus of the University of Rochester.

The Tigers come into Saturday's game with a 2-2-1 record after a 0-0 draw at Elmira College on Wednesday. Rochester is 4-0-0 on the season after a 1-0 win over Buffalo State on Wednesday.Â

Last year, Rochester beat the Tigers, 3-2 at Tiger Stadium. After falling behind 1-0, RIT came back with two second-half goals.
Akram Meza (Troy, NY/Troy) tied the game with his goal in the 61st minute off an assist from
Gene Sicoli (Commack, NY/Commack). Sicoli gave RIT its first lead with his goal in the 62nd minute, scoring on a long shot from the top of the box. Allesandro Incerto tied the game for Rochester in the 79th minute, and Michael Sargent scored the game winner in the 90th minute.
This season, RIT is proud to have Rick Goepfert, Doug Kaufman and Ben Siciliano serve as honorary captains. All three were co-captains on the 1991 team that went 11-3-1 overall, winning the ECAC Championship with a 4-0 win over Hobart College in the title game.

Goepfert, a defender, helped stabilize a staunch RIT defense which allowed just nine goals in 15 games in 1991. A native of Potomac, Md., Goepfert played in 14 games that season, dishing out five assists. He was a second team All-Empire Athletic Association selection as well as a first team All-New York State selection.
Kaufman was outstanding in net for RIT in 1991, posting an impressive 11-3-1 record, allowing just nine goals all season. Kaufman recorded a miniscule 0.59 goals against average and an .855 save percentage in 1991 and was a second-team All-Empire Athletic Association selection. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kaufman holds the fourth-best goals against average with a 0.59 GAA in 1991. He is fourth all-time with a 0.74 career GAA and is ninth at RIT with a .823 career save percentage.

Siciliano played in all 15 games in 1991, tallying eight points on two goals and four assists. A Greece Athena graduate, Siciliano was an All-Empire Athletic Association selection in 1990. Siciliano sits in a tie for 27th all-time at the university in scoring with 36 points on 12 goals and 12 assists.
