ROCHESTER, NY –
The RIT women's hockey team returns to action this weekend with a pair of games at College Hockey America foe Robert Morris. Friday's contest from 84 Lumber Arena starts at 7:05 p.m., while Saturday's game begins at 3:05 p.m.

The Tigers (10-17-3, 4-11-1 CHA) dropped a pair of games over the weekend to CHA leader Mercyhurst, falling 5-1 on Friday and 3-0 Saturday. Kolbee McCrea (Wawa, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas) scored RIT's lone goal on Friday. Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs) made 56 saves on 63 shots. On Saturday, RIT honored fifth-year student manager Joe Vicario, better known as "Part Time Joe" in its home game against the Lakers. RIT wore special jerseys that were auctioned off and to date has raised over $10,000 split between the Testicular Cancer Foundation of Western New York, which Vicario founded and the Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital through the RIT United Way Foundation.

Celeste Brown (Great Falls, MT/National Sports Academy) leads the Tigers with 15 points on nine goals and six assists. Lindsay Grigg (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville Hornets), Mackenzie Stone (Kars, Ontario/South Carleton), Haley Northcote (Cumberland, Ontario/Minnesota State), and Taylor Thurston (Kanata, Ontario/All Saints Catholic) all are tied for the team-lead with eight assists. RIT is being out-scored 70-53 this season. In goal, Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs) is 7-9-1 with a 1.87 goals against average and .931 save percentage.

Robert Morris comes into the weekend with a 9-17-3 overall record and 6-8-2 mark in league play. The Colonials dropped a pair of games at Syracuse last weekend by scores of 2-1 and 3-1. Mackenzie Johnston leads the team in scoring with 17 points on 10 goals and seven assists, while Mikaela Lowater has a team-high 15 assists. The Colonials are being outscored, 81-55 this season. In net, Jessica Dodds is 7-14-2 with a 2.73 goals against average and .913 save percentage.

The Tigers are sixth in CHA play and have to win out to have a chance at home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs. RIT and Robert Morris split a series earlier in the year at RIT on Jan. 9-10, with Robert Morris winning 2-0 on the first day and RIT coming back to win 3-2 the following day. RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 7-6-1.

Video and live stats are available for both contests this weekend.
