CLINTON, NY– Despite grabbing five first place finishes on the day, the RIT women's swimming and diving team (3-6) couldn't overcome Hamilton (2-0) in a 132-111 loss, on Saturday afternoon.

Katie Baldwin (Phelps, NY/Midlakes)# won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.51 seconds. She finished the day with two second place finishes as well, one in the 100-yard freestyle, and the other in the teams 200-yard freestyle relay.
The Tigers started the day on a positive note, winning the very first event, the 200-yard medley relay. The team of #
Brenna Woodling (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East)#, #
Megan O'Connor (Spring City, PA/Owen J. Roberts)#, Genna Senecal and #
Alex Timberlake (Churchville, NY/Churchville-Chili)# combined for a time of 1:55.77 in the win. Senecal continued her solid outing with a first place finish in the 200-yard butterfly coming in at 2:15.70.
Woodling was also the top finisher for RIT in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in third with a time of 2:04.57, and the 200-yard backstroke where she swam the race in 2:18.00 to earn second place.
RIT dominated the diving events placing two divers in the top three in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events. #
Sam Huselstein (Olean, NY/Olean)# was superb for the Tigers in the dives, taking first in both. Huselstein won the one-meter dive with a score of 230.09 and the three-meter dive with a score of 221.17. Freshman #
Patsy Hayes (San Jose, CA/Abraham Lincoln)# came up big, scoring a 189.15 in the one-meter dive scoring to take second. In the three-meter dive it was #

RIT has a busy week ahead with a meet against William Smith on Tuesday Jan. 21 followed by a match-up with crosstown rival Rochester on Saturday Jan. 25. Both meets are at home for the Tigers, with Tuesday's meet getting underway at 3 p.m. and Saturday's at 1 p.m.
