ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's swimming and diving (0-1) team opened up the 2013-14 season by suffering a 163-137 dual meet loss to Rensselaer (0-1) at Judson Pool on Saturday afternoon. Five different student-athletes won events for RIT.

Brenna Woodling (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) and Genna Senecal# each won two events for the Tigers. Woodley was victorious in both the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke. She won the 100-backstroke by two seconds in 1:03.78 and won the 200-back by just 16 one-hundredths of a second in 2:18.10. She was also second in the 500-freestyle.
Senecal took the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events. She won the 100-fly by just over half a second in a time of 1:02.48 and annexed the 200-fly by four seconds in 2:15.70. She also had a strong second place finish in the 200-fly.

Katie Baldwin (Phelps, NY/Midlakes)# won the 50-yard freestyle by nearly two seconds in a time of 24.65 seconds. She is RIT's record holder in the event. Baldwin was also second in the 100-free in 55.91 seconds.

Colleen Manning (Farmingdale, NY/St. Anthony's) won the 200-yard freestyle by three seconds over teammate (Endicott, NY/Maine Endwell)Caitlin Foster (Bath, ME/Morse)# in a time of 2:08.31. Foster was also second in the 1,000-free (11:57.33).

Sam Huselstein (Olean, NY/Olean)# won the 3-meter event with a score of 224.80, while placing second in the 1-meter with a score of 206.10.
RIT is right back in action on Wednesday, with a dual meet at Oswego State that gets nderway at 6 p.m.
