Zach Miller earns 2012 Track and Field-Cross Country CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-Region honors

ROCHESTER, NY - Senior Zach Miller (Sweetwater, NJ/Cedar Creek) of the RIT men's track and field and cross country team, was named to the 2012 CoSIDA/Capital One Track and Field/Country Academic All-Region squad. Miller, a Mechanical Engineering major, finished his collegiate career with a tremendous 3.76 grade-point average.

Miller earned All-Empire 8 first team cross country honors in 2009 and 2010, and was a second team selection in 2008. In addition, he was a two-time RIT Male Athlete of the Week and Empire 8 Runner of the Week in 2010. Miller ran 10,000-meters in 32:03 at the 2012 NYSCTC Championships, placing second and was part of the RIT Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2010-11.

On the academic side, Miller was a member of the RIT Honors College and Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), as well as Pi Tau Sigma (International Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. Miller was also named to the Dean's list 10 times.
