GENEVA, OH – The RIT women's track and field team had a strong showing at the GaREAT Collegiate Open.
 
The team of Kaylin Beiter (Lima, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima), Kelly Fredette (Gansevoort, NY/Saratoga Springs), Amanda White (Watertown, NY/Watertown) and Erin LaFave (Troy, MI/Bloomfield Hills Lahser) finished seventh in the distance medley, finishing with a time of 13:08.10.  White also took home a 13^th place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.90
 
Emily Valle (Rochester, NY/Fairport) placed 13^th in the pole vault with a leap of 2.75 meters, while Jennifer Adams and Katherine Sessions placed sixth and seventh in the long jump, with leaps of 5.17 meters and 5.05 meters respectively.
 
Elizabeth Sofia placed 12^th in the weight throw with a toss of 13.27 meters.
 
The Tigers will be back in action when they travel to Ithaca for the Ithaca College Invitational on February 4, at 10 a.m.
