ONEONTA, NY -
Freshman #Kreag Bradley (Victor, NY/Victor)# (Victor, NY/Victor) drove in sophomore #Ed Hughes (Jamesville, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt)# (Jamesville, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt) to break a 3-3 tie in the top of the ninth inning and lift the RIT baseball team (10-17) to a 4-3 victory over SUNY Oneonta (21-7) in a non-conference contest on Friday afternoon.

Junior Kyle Desrosiers (North Attleboro, MA/Xaverian Brothers) (North Attleboro, MA/Xaverian Brothers) picked up the win on the mound, throwing four scoreless innings.  He pitched out of a bases-loaded jam and induced a ground ball with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.  It was his first collegiate victory.

Oneonta (21-7) took advantage of a fielding error in the bottom of the second inning to put two runs on the scoreboard.

RIT scored a pair of runs in the fifth inning with two outs to take a 3-2 lead. Dornes tripled to right field to knock in freshman Ben Robertson (Mecklenburg, NY/Trumansburg) (Mecklenburg/Trumansburg), who had drawn a walk. Dornes then scored on an RBI single by senior Jeremy Tosh (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg).  Tosh now has 91 RBI, just three off the RIT career record.

Oneonta tied the game in the home half of the fifth when Dubben hit a sacrifice fly to deep center field to drive in Mike Center

RIT out-hit Oneonta 11-2.  Junior Jeff Bibbens (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) started for the Tigers, allowing two unearned runs in three innings.  Rory Camardello (Brighton, NY/Brighton) (Rochester, NY/Brighton) allowed one run in two innings of relief, setting the stage for Desrosiers four scoreless innings.

Tiger pitchers walked 13 Oneonta batters.

Dornes was 3-for-4 in the win for the Tigers.

Head Coach #Rob Grow# (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) now has 298 career coaching wins.  He will go for his 300th this weekend, as RIT ventures to Utica on Saturday and Sunday to play the Pioneers in a pair of doubleheaders starting at 12 p.m. each day.
