Five Tigers named CSC Baseball Academic All-District

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Five members of the RIT Baseball team were recently named to the 2026 College Sports Communicator (CSC) Academic All-District team.
 
Senior outfielder Jarin Moses, senior infielder Trent Rapp, senior catcher Roberto Reade, senior infielder Charlie Slaymaker and sophomore pitcher Ryan Moran were all recognized among the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
 
To be considered, nominees had to have achieved at least a sophomore standing and a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average while playing a prominent role on the field of competition.
 
Also named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region team as well as First-Team All-Liberty League, Moses finished the season ninth in the Liberty League with a .336 batting average while ending the season second on the squad with 51 hits, first with 14 doubles, tied for second with seven home runs and fourth with 35 RBI. Mose graduated with a 3.60 GPA with a degree in game design and development.
 
Rapp finished eighth in the Liberty League with a .383 batting average, and was second with eight home runs, 62 hits, 52 runs and 102 total bases. Also tied for fifth with 38 RBI, he graduated with a 3.54 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering.
 
Reade ended the season with a .267 batting average and was sixth for the Tigers with 27 RBI. Fourth on the squad with six home runs, he also totaled 31 hits, 18 runs scored, seven doubles and 58 total bases. He finished his career with a 3.59 GPA majoring in computing security.
 
Slaymaker was fifth for the Tigers with 29 runs scored, sixth with 34 hits, fifth with nine doubles, and tied for fifth with five home runs while compiling a 3.83 GPA majoring in accounting.
 
Moran was an ABCA/Rawlings Second-Team All-Region honoree as well as a first team Liberty League selection after leading the conference with a 7-1 record and finishing second with a 2.79 earned run average. He also completed his second year with a 4.00 GPA majoring in chemical engineering.
 
The 2026 Tigers won the Liberty League Championship and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history, finishing with a 24-15 record.
