Biography

Career: In the top-10 at RIT in nearly every offensive category … enters final season needing just four hits, 18 total bases, 21 runs scored, and 24 RBI to shatter school records.

2009: Earned All-Empire 8 first team honors for the third consecutive season … led Tigers with 49 hits, 33 runs scored, nine doubles, four triples, and stole 12 bases in 12 attempts … hit .366, seventh in the Empire 8 … recorded a sparkling 3.10 earned run average, 1.14 WHIP, four wins, and four complete games on the mound … walked just 11 batters in 58 innings … named the Empire 8 Player of the Week, April 20, and Pitcher of the Week, May 11 … threw a five-hit shutout, allowing just five hits to go along with six strikeouts in a 2-0 win over SUNY Oswego … fired a complete-game four-hitter, allowing just four hits in a 7-2 win over Utica that netted Head Coach Rob Grow his 300th career win … allowed two earned runs over his final 25 innings (0.72 ERA) in four starts … scored three runs in back-to-back wins over Hilbert and Cazenovia … stole two bases in a game three times … ripped a season-best four hits and scored three times in a win over Medaille … had at least one hit in 26 different games … hit .422 (35-for-83) with 25 runs scored in 22 games during the month of April … hit .515 (17-for-33) during a nine-game hitting streak, April 17 to April 28 … recorded 17 multi-hit games.

2008: Named Empire 8 Player of the Year for the second straight season … earned ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region second team honors … earned Empire 8 Player and Pitcher of the Week honors twice … garnered All-Empire 8 first team accolades as an outfielder and second team honors for pitching …hit five home runs, second most in one season at RIT … ended the season with an 18-game hitting streak … hit .500 (37-for-74) with 28 runs scored, 24 RBI and four homers during that streak … scored a run in 13 straight games … recorded hits in 29 games and had 15 multiple-hit performances … belted his first collegiate home run against Villa Julie ... drove in a career-best five runs and was 4-for-4 in a 17-5 win over Utica … was 3-for-4 with a home run, four runs scored and three RBI in a 15-10 win over St. John Fisher … pitched in nine games … was second on the team with a 2.82 ERA … threw a complete-game five-hit shutout, striking out six in a 3-0 win at SUNY Brockport … allowed just one run in six innings of a 5-1 win over Stevens … walked just four batters in 51 innings.

2007: Named the Empire 8 Player and Rookie of the Year … Rochester Area Colleges Athletics Player of the Year … earned ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region second team honors … moved into the top-10 in a single-season at RIT in the following categories ... 57 hits (second), .535 on-base percentage (third), .452 batting average (fourth), 35 runs (sixth), 71 total bases (seventh) and four triples (eighth) … had an 18-game hitting streak from April 20 to May 8 … had a season-high four hits twice … had a hit in 31-of-36 games … recorded 17 multiple-hit games.

Before RIT: Earned two varsity letters in baseball and football at Hempfield High.
