Men's Soccer Falls to St. John Fisher; RIT Eliminated From Empire 8 Playoff Contention

PITTSFORD, NY -
The RIT men's soccer team (5-9-1, 2-3-1 Empire 8) was eliminated from Empire 8 playoff contention on Saturday evening, falling to St. John Fisher (5-7-2, 3-2-1 Empire 8) 1-0 at Growney Stadium.

Luke Lennox scored the game's only goal for St. John Fisher in the 34th minute.

St. John Fisher out-shot RIT, 18-11.  The Cardinals had eight corner kicks to RIT's six.

Alan Smith (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) stopped five shots in the loss for RIT.  Adam Durst made four saves for the Cardinals, who will make the Empire 8 Tournament for the second straight season.

The Tigers play their final home contest of the season on Wednesday, as they host Keuka at the RIT Turf Field starting at 6 p.m.
