After posting a five game winning streak that ultimately ended in the Sept. 24 loss against University of Rochester, the Tigers are on a two game slide that has been handed to RIT by two top teams, University of Rochester (0-2) and Ithaca College (0-2). The Tigers are currently in a four-way tie for third place with Nazareth, Utica and St. John Fisher.

“[A leader] in both contests,” Maura Scanlon has provided RIT with “a solid anchor at sweeper” this week against top competition, said Tigers women’s soccer coach, Tom Natalie. Scanlon was key in the organization exhibited by the Tigers' defense this week, which kept RIT in the contest, throughout the duration of both games. Scanlon “is a smart and calculated player that plays well an causes others around her to play better,” added coach Natalie.

The Tigers hope to snap their two game losing streak on the road against Elmira on Thursday, who are currently winless in conference action.
