Biography
Career: One of RIT’s most accomplished hurlers … second all-time at RIT in games pitched (96), games started (78), complete games (71), innings pitched (567.2), wins (46), and shutouts (15) … fifth with 321 strikeouts and eighth in earned run average (2.38) ... at the plate, RIT’s all-time leader with 41 walks, second with 13 home runs and fifth with 74 runs batted in.
2011: Appeared in 27 games in the field, 22 on the mound… NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete… NFCA All-Region honors… earned All-Empire 8 First Team Honors… three-time Empire 8 Pitcher of the Week… named the RIT Female Athlete of the Week on April 10 … tied a single-season RIT record with 10 consecutive wins on the mound, April 7 to May 7 … went 14-4 with 85 strikeouts in 126.2 innings… led the team with a 1.66 ERA … 14 wins are tied for seventh in one season at RIT … recorded five shutouts, tied for fifth in one season … ended the season with a 0.95 ERA over her final 14 outings, April 7 to May 8 … struck out seven and allowed just three hits in a 4-0 win over Utica… pitched at least five innings in 18 of 19 starts … finished the season with a .342 batting average and 18 RBI’s… went 3-for-4 with three RBI’s in an 11-4 win over St. John Fisher… also had three hits in a win over Nazareth.
2010: Tallied eight wins to earn All-Empire 8 second team honors … hurled 139.1 innings, third most in the Empire 8 … walked just nine batters and added 76 strikeouts … hurled a pair of shutouts … walked one batter on average of every 15.5 innings pitched … threw a complete-game, 57 minute gem, allowing four hits, while striking out five batters in a 2-0 win over St. John Fisher … hurled a two-hit shutout, striking out five in a 6-0 win over St. Benedict … had a 1.56 earned run average over her first 11 appearances … allowed just three hits and a pair of unearned runs in the Empire 8 Tournament against Ithaca … also earned conference wins over Utica and Elmira … came on in relief to record saves against Walsh and Beloit … hit .259 with a home run and eight RBI … slammed a two-run homer in an 8-0 win over Utica … was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored, and two RBI in a win over D’Youville.
2009: Earned CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Region honors … garnered All-Empire 8 second team honors … RIT Athlete of the Week, March 30 … Empire 8 Pitcher of the Week, April 20 ... threw a school record 16-inning shutout, allowing just six hits in a 1-0 win over Ithaca in the Empire 8 Tournament … allowed just one hit over the final 10 2/3 innings … finished 13-11 on the mound with a 1.77 earned run average … tossed a five-inning no-hitter in a 9-0 win over D’Youville … came back to throw six scoreless innings and strike out in relief to earn a win later that day … opened the season by striking out 11 batters in a six-hit complete-game shutout against Muhlenberg … hit .323 with five homers and 27 RBI … five homers are tied for fourth most in one season at RIT … slammed two homers and drove in six runs during a doubleheader sweep of Morrisville … hit homers in back-to-back games against Buffalo State … was 2-for-4 with a homerun, double, and five RBI in a 10-1 win over Medaille … hit .475 with three homers and 15 RBI over a 13-game hitting streak, April 16 to May 2 … recorded eight multiple-hit games.
2008: Quickly became the ace of the RIT pitching staff … appeared in 24 games on the mound, recording an 11-9 record with 64 strikeouts … made 18 starts … earned All- Empire 8 honorable mention accolades … garnered her first collegiate win, throwing a complete-game five-hitter in a 5-2 win over Misericordia … picked up her first collegiate shut-out, allowing two hits in an 8-0 win over Elmira … later that day, came on in relief and struck out a seasonbest seven batters and allowed just one hit in 5 2/3 innings in a 3-2 win … slammed a team-best four home runs and
added 21 RBI … her four homers are tied for fifth most in one season at RIT … tied school records with two home runs and 10 total bases, while going 3-for-5 with seven RBI and three runs scored in a 22-1 win over Skidmore … had all four homers in a three game span … hit a home run in each of the two wins over Medaille … went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and five RBI in a 15-3 win over Utica … tied for second on the team with five doubles.
Before RIT: Played five years of varsity softball at Alden … three-year captain and two-time team MVP … Section VI Division IV Pitcher of the Year as a senior … named to All- ECIC first team in 2007 … earned All-ECIC second team honors as a sophomore and junior.
